Practical AI consulting for Chicagoland businesses

Less time on tasks.
More time for purpose.

Your team is already using AI. I help Chicagoland small and midsize businesses turn those individual gains into practical workflows that improve how the business operates.

The goal is not more AI. It is better ways of working that the business can repeat, measure, and improve.

Start with one real area of friction in your business. No technical preparation required.

Privacy first. You decide what data is used, where it goes, and who can access it.

From helpful moments to lasting value

Small AI wins can become meaningful progress.

Your team’s early experiments matter. A faster email, a clearer summary, or a task finished sooner can make a real difference in someone’s day.

With the right support, those helpful moments can become thoughtful ways of working that the whole business can rely on, improve, and measure.

Explore the idea: Less Time on Tasks. More Time for Purpose.

What is already working

Helpful individual gains

Emails, summaries, and everyday tasks become a little easier.

What we build together

Thoughtful workflows

Useful steps are connected with business context, clear ownership, and human judgment.

What becomes possible

Meaningful progress

The business reduces friction, improves consistency, and creates more time for what matters.

A mindful way to begin with AI

AI changes how work gets done. I help your team understand the shift.

Traditional software asks people to learn menus, forms, and fixed steps. AI lets people describe an outcome in everyday language, provide context and examples, and guide the work through conversation and feedback.

That shift creates new possibilities, but it also asks people to think differently. Clear instructions, useful context, thoughtful review, and human judgment matter more, not less.

Inside the workshop

I make AI understandable by connecting it to work your team already knows.

I explain AI from first principles, demonstrate how I use it in my own one-person business, and create space for your team to talk about recurring work and friction. The goal is a shared understanding of what AI can and cannot do, followed by an initial opportunity shortlist grounded in how the work actually happens.

  1. Understand the shift

I explain how working with AI differs from using traditional software.

  2. See AI in real work

I demonstrate practical examples instead of relying on abstract predictions.

  3. Surface the friction

I invite your team to share recurring work, bottlenecks, and day-to-day struggles.

  4. Build an opportunity shortlist

I help turn what we learn into possibilities worth evaluating after the workshop.

A workshop is often the best place to begin, but the conversation comes first. No technical preparation required.

Discuss a Team Workshop

The workshop is Align in practice. It begins The AURA Way by creating shared understanding and surfacing opportunities.

How I work

The AURA Way

A mindful path from understanding to action.

Align · Understand · Realize · Advance

The workshop is the beginning, not the destination.

The workshop begins with Align. I then use the rest of The AURA Way to evaluate opportunities, build trusted business context, implement the strongest place to start, and improve from real use.

Align

Help your people understand AI.

The workshop is Align in practice. I use first principles and real examples from my own business to build shared understanding and help your team surface recurring friction and opportunities.

Understand

Understand the business. Choose where to begin.

I evaluate the opportunity shortlist for business value, feasibility, privacy, context, risk, and adoption. When shared context is needed, I build BizMind, my business-context architecture, as part of the engagement. Together, we choose the smallest worthwhile place to begin.

Why AI needs business context

Realize

Turn one strong opportunity into a working system.

I implement one priority with the people who will use it. I design the workflow to ask for clarification, keep human judgment where it matters, and make its value measurable.

Advance

Learn from real use and decide what comes next.

I measure what helps, improve what does not, keep BizMind current, and help decide whether to move to the next opportunity. Ongoing support or advisory grows from what the business actually needs.

Why Raj

Enterprise experience. Local purpose.

I spent more than 20 years learning how business technology gets understood, built, and supported at the enterprise level. My career at Flexera took me from junior consultant to director, with experience on both sides of the work: listening to customers and leading the teams that built the software they depended on.

Today, I bring that experience to Chicagoland businesses in a practical, personal, and mindful way.

  1. Listen

Seven years close to the customer

I began in consulting and worked directly with enterprise customers, including Fortune 100 companies. I learned to ask better questions, understand how the business actually worked, and earn trust before proposing a solution.

  2. Build and lead

    Enterprise software at Flexera

I moved into software development and leadership, building enterprise products and leading engineering teams. I learned what it takes to turn customer needs into software that is secure, reliable, and ready for the complexity of real organizations.

  3. Bring it home

Enterprise discipline, sized for local business

I now bring the benefit of that experience to local small and midsize businesses without bringing enterprise complexity with it. The work stays grounded in your people, your priorities, and what will create meaningful value.

Built by doing

I use AI in my own one-person business.

AI supports my research, communication, marketing, software, and operations. I remain personally responsible for the relationships, judgment, and quality.

Mindfulness in practice

More than seven years of daily meditation.

Mindfulness is not a slogan I added to the business. It shapes how I listen, respond to uncertainty, and stay present with the people and problems in front of me.

Community keeps me human

Running, storytelling, and showing up locally.

My running and storytelling communities have taught me the value of listening and showing up. As an ambassador at The Amara Club by 25N Coworking, I work from the club and host client meetings there in Schaumburg.

Listen deeply. Share what I know. Help one business at a time.

A mindful place to begin

Start with your team and the work they already know.

Your team does not need to arrive with an AI plan. I will make the technology understandable, create space for people to share where work feels harder than it should, and help turn that understanding into a practical place to begin.

Book a Conversation

No prepared plan or technical background required. We can begin with what feels harder than it should.
